Dai Dingyi, deputy director of China Logistics Network Alliance, says that RFID adoption in China is growing faster than expected.
Dai made the remarks at the Shenzhen Fourth RFID Application Summit Forum 2006. He says that contrary to press reports, RFID in China has not been hindered by such difficulties as cost, standards and technology.
Dai said that RFID had been widely adopted in a large variety of fields in China including anti-counterfeiting systems, traffic monitoring, logistics and manufacturing.
In particular, he said that RFID infrastructure construction should be accelerated according to the demand supervised by the government. He added that RFID applications guided by the government would not be restricted so long as their political activities and commercial activities are separated.
