Intel China Changes Top China Management

May 17, 2006
Business

General managers Lai Yit Loong and Jane Price have resigned from their respective Intel (INTC) China posts.

Intel denies the resignations have anything to do with their performance at the company. A company spokesperson says Lai left to welcome the birth of his fourth child and Price will be assigned to another important position at the company.

With the departure of Lai and Rice, Ian Yang, vice CEO of Intel in Asia Pacific and John A. Antone, general manager of Intel Asia Pacific, will take over their respective duties.

Intel China says that the company's structure will not be changed following the resignations of these two general managers.
