After two years of careful planning, CECT has finally fixed its timetable for an overseas initial public offering.

CECT says it plans to get listed on NASDAQ before the last quarter of this year and raise about US$150 million for 3G mobile phone development and manufacturing. If successful, CECT will become the first mobile phone manufacturer in China to get listed on NASDAQ.

A representative from CECT says the company is contacting investment banks and choosing an underwriter.

Wu Zhiyang, president of CECT, says his company has already raised about US$60 million from a private placement.
