As a complement to its direct sales business in China, Dell (DELL) China has opened its first mainland China Product Experience retail store in Chongqing.

Dell has already opened more than 200 such stores in Taiwan and Japan.

The new store displays Dell's products oriented towards family and small enterprise users, including the Inspiron series laptop computers, Dimension series desktop computers, servers, software and peripherals.

Rong Yongkang, sales director of Dell in North Asia, says that the establishment of this retail store will serve as a new means to promote Dell's products in China. He added that in the last quarter, Dell's family oriented PC product selling increased by 57.8%, which is 2.3 times more than the industry average.

Dell announced officially that this store won't be responsible for selling any of its products.
