Nokia (NOK) China's new headquarters has been formally completed in Beijing's Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, which marks the birth of the world's most complete mobile communications industry chain in Beijing.

The newly completed Nokia Green Building in Yizhuang, which is one of the first commercial buildings in China to gain the title of Green Building, combines Nokia Greater China's headquarters and product R&D on the seven million square meter area.

"This mobile phone industry chain is not only one of the largest in the world, but also one of the most environmentally friendly ones." says Colin Giles, senior vice president of Nokia global and president of Nokia China, who also believes that the chain will not only help increase efficiency in communications and operation, but also lower the emissions of carbon dioxide and the use of packaging by reducing meeting trips and long-distance transportation.

Thanks to the use of breathable glass walls and more than 30 other environmentally-friendly designs, Nokia's new office building can save energy. Now the company just needs to work on making its mobile phone batteries last longer on all that conserved energy.
