Chinese online auction firm eBay Eachnet says it has been fully connected to eBay's (EBAY) main transaction platform in the United States and this will enable Chinese online shoppers to directly purchase goods from the U.S. via Eachnet.
Chang Lin, vice president of eBay Eachnet, told local media that after the service is launched, online shoppers in China don't need to have a foreign bank account or understand English before they can go directly to view various information and purchase goods on eBay's U.S. site. Chang says that if online shoppers need eBay Eachnet to buy more goods on behalf of them, they can log onto eBay's main site in the U.S. directly by themselves to choose the goods before eBay Eachnet helps them complete the purchase.
At present, there are more than 40,000 pieces of American goods on eBay Eachnet. The company says it will increase the goods category from the current three to seven from next week to cover almost all the hot commodities in North America.
