Founder Group, a leading industrial application software system solutions and software products supplier in China, started the construction of its pharmaceutical production base in Chongqing on July 10, 2008.

Founder Group plans to invest CNY2.5 billion in this project to make it a leading company in biological and fine chemical medicine sector in the southwestern areas within the next three to five years. With Founder Group's two pharmaceutical subsidiaries, the Southwest Synthetic Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Daxin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., as its foundation, the new pharmaceutical production base will be established.

Wei Xin, president of the Founder Group, says that the group plans to build a world-class biological and chemical medicine production base. Currently, Chongqing is an area with the greatest development potential in Southwest China and the newly established production base will be Founder Group's headquarters for its pharmaceutical industry in the southwestern areas.

With total sales of CNY40 billion in 2007, the Founder Group has five companies that are listed in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Malaysia, respectively. Its 30,000 employees are working at the company's more than 20 subsidiaries and joint ventures in China and abroad.
