Acer China has recently completed its structure adjustment and the company dropped the former business department for the Founder PC brand.

At the same time, Acer China implemented personnel changes. In March 2011, Acer made its first personnel changes after its acquisition of Founder PC and cut nearly 100 employees. Staff working for Founder's PC business in the office building of Founder were also relocated to Acer's offices in Beijing.

During the adjustment, Acer China established two major business units, which are responsible for consumers and small- and medium-sized enterprises as well as major clients, respectively. Apart from the major units, Acer China also maintained supporting units, including marketing and promotion department, marketing materials department, financial department, customer service department, consulting department, and human resources department. In addition, the company established a business management committee in the regional operating headquarters in China.

Acer's development in 2011 did not begin smoothly. Its sales of laptops declined in the first quarter due to the impact brought by tablet computers, and its CEO Gianfranco Lanci resigned for bad performance. J.T. Wang, chairman of the company and who currently takes the acting role of CEO, revealed that Acer will begin its global adjustment of business departments.
