Dell China has recently completed the adjustments to its four major business groups and announced new personnel changes.
According to reports in local media, Yang Chao and Rong Yongkang will lead the four business groups, with Yang in charge of the consumer business department and small- and medium-sized enterprise business department while Rong is in charge of large enterprise business department and the public business department. Meanwhile, Li Guoqing, former general manager for the public business department, will be the new general manager for Dell's global commercial partner business department in Asia Pacific.
A spokesperson from Dell China told local media that the company did not merge its business departments and they are only changes in the reporting system. After the adjustments, Yang and Rong will directly report to Amit Midha, chairman of Dell China. Midha was promoted to Dell's global vice president, president for Asia Pacific and Japan, and chairman for Greater China in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Yang previously revealed that the business scale of Dell China has reached USD5 billion, marking 11 times growth over the past ten years.
