Chinese Internet travel service provider Ctrip.com announced that Shou Xiaoyuan, former deputy general manager of Royal Caribbean Cruises China, has officially joined Ctrip as vice president.
Shou will focus on the company's long-tour business group as well as daily operation and management.
Shou served as the China deputy general manager of Royal Caribbean Cruises from November 2012 to the beginning of 2015 and he was responsible for sales, operation, market support, direct sales team, and call center business. Prior to that, he worked as China hotel and business general manager of Gullivers Travel Associates and Asia Pacific senior operating director of Tourico Holidays.
Wu Zhixiang, chief executive officer of Ctrip, said that Shou has rich experience in international travel business operation and management. His joining will bring advanced industrial experience to Ctrip's long-tour business sector such as cruise and outbound traveling.
Ctrip's strategic business units include long-tour traveling and short-term traveling. Of these, long-tour traveling covers domestic long-tour traveling, outbound traveling, and cruises.
