Chinese taxi-hailing app group Didi Kuaidi announced a deal with bus manufacturer Yutong to create bus-related smart technologies.

With the cooperation, Didi Kuaidi will recommend their automobile leasing partners to choose new energy products made by Yutong. Meanwhile, Yutong will provide an express bus purchase channel for those companies.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

In addition, Didi Kuaidi and Yutong plan to implement work in other sectors like integration of Internet and buses; automobile finance; maintenance value-added services; and handling and repurchasing of used buses. Their cooperation is expected to cover the entire lifecycle of buses that joined Didi's bus platform.

On July 16, 2015, Didi launched its bus business in Beijing and Shenzhen. So far, Didi bus has opened over 500 lines in the two cities. The company said that the overall operation of the bus business had exceeded their expectations and they planned to expand it into 30 cities by the end of 2015.

Yutong is a leading manufacturer of public buses, tour buses, shuttle buses, highway buses, and school buses. At the same time, it is the first listed bus company in China and a new energy bus supplier.
