China's DJI To Acquire Minority Interest In Hasselblad

Chinese aerial imaging system technology provider Da-Jiang Innovations Science and Technology Co., Ltd. announced a strategic investment in Swedish high-end camera maker Hasselblad Group.

DJI will gain a minority stake in Hasselblad with the strategic investment and the two parties. In addition, DJI will join the board of directors of Hasselblad. Full financial details and valuation were not released.

The cooperation will further enhance the leading positions of the two companies in their respective fields.

Perry Oosting, CEO of Hasselblad, said that they are honored to be partnering with DJI, a technology and market leader in its segment. DJI and Hasselblad are equally enthusiastic about creativity and excellence, and they are looking forward to sharing technical expertise and paving the way for future innovations.

Frank Wang, founder and CEO of DJI, said that Hasselblad and DJI share a passion to provide creative people with cutting-edge, inventive technology to help them take visual storytelling to the next level. With this partnership, they combine their strengths to further push the borders of what is possible in imaging technology.

Founded in 1941, Hasselblad is a high-end camera manufacturer in Sweden. The company is known for providing product to NASA's Project Apollo.
