According to reports in Chinese local media, China Telecom will cooperate with over 70 enterprises to build 5G terminal research and development alliance, aiming to promote 5G ecology construction.

China Telecom's chairman Ke Ruiwen said that in the future, China Telecom's intelligent ecology will create ultimate customer-oriented services. To better promote the construction of 5G ecology, the company will team with more than 200 5G ecological cooperation partners and 45 joint innovation members to form a 5G innovation center.

In regards to terminal devices, China Telecom will cooperate with over 40 terminal partners to jointly create over 30 5G products.

In addition, China Telecom will have a 5G open lab to explore 5G terminals with more than 200 5G joint experiment customers.

It is said that to promote the multimodal breakthrough of 5G terminals and seize new 5G development opportunities, China Telecom will cooperate with major manufacturers to lower 5G phone prices. During the first half of 2020, 5G phones within CNY2,000 price range will be available.
