China’s Shanghai Composite plunged two percent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined 1.7 percent. South Korea’s KOSPI and Singapore’s Straits Times, both fell 0.9 percent and Japan’s NIKKEI-225 slipped 0.4 percent. European stocks were mostly down in intra day trade. France’s CAC declined 0.6 percent and Germany’s DAX fell 0.2 percent while London’s FTSC-100 added marginally 0.1 percent.
