TikTok faces two investigations by the Irish knowledge watchdog following intense scrutiny for months over considerations that kids’s knowledge is not secure on the platform. From a report: Eire’s Knowledge Safety Fee, mentioned on Tuesday it opened two “personal volition” investigations into ByteDance’s TikTok amid worries about the best way it handles its customers’ knowledge. The Irish regulator turned TikTok’s lead European Union knowledge safety authority in December. The primary probe will look into TikTok’s processing of knowledge by its underage customers and whether or not it is in step with the EU’s strict safety guidelines.
