(Reuters) – Apple has told some of its contractors that it wants to expand production outside of China, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Alternatives to China include India and Vietnam, two countries where Apple products are already assembled. Apple said last month it expected more severe supply issues as health restrictions in China related to the resurgence of COVID-19 slowed production and demand in the world’s second-largest economy.
