Vladimir Putin's meeting with Kim Jong Un reveals Russia's desperation to secure new weapons supplies

With few allies left on the world stage, the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean President Kim Jong Un has been seen by observers as a sign of just how far Russia has fallen. Kim arrived in the eastern Russian spaceport, the Vostochny Cosmodrome, after departing for Russia on Monday evening on board his luxury armoured train. "I am glad to see you," Mr Putin said as he shook the North Korean leader's hand, before taking him on a personalised tour. He also promised to help North Korea build satellites.
