Lenovo has introduced an innovative AI Student Phone in China that eliminates common smartphone features like games, web browsers, and social media apps. Instead, the device focuses on AI-assisted learning, location tracking, and parental controls. Priced at 299 yuan (about $4,200), the phone offers a compact 1.83-inch touchscreen, handwriting input support, a 1,850mAh battery, and 4G connectivity. Its durable Panda glass screen protection ensures longevity and safety.

The Lenovo AI Student Phone stands out with a physical AI button that activates a voice assistant for educational support, including homework help. Parents benefit from robust tracking capabilities, enabling real-time GPS location monitoring and geofencing alerts. Through the companion app, parents can remotely manage the device, control unknown callers, implement classroom mode restrictions, and schedule power on/off times. In classroom mode, the phone is limited to displaying the time and making emergency calls.

Moreover, the phone features a preloaded educational library covering English vocabulary and math formulas, serving as a valuable reference tool for assignments without internet access. Additionally, a QR code-based mobile payment system is integrated to facilitate purchases. Parents can set spending limits, monitor transactions, and ensure responsible usage through the app. The Lenovo AI Student Phone is offered in three color options: orange-white, pink, and blue, providing a versatile choice for young users.
