One really knows exactly how many humanoid robots shipped in the first half of 2026. But we do know that the number is bigger than the first half of last year: a lot bigger.
Counterpoint Research published its first-half humanoid robot numbers this week, and the big number is this: more than 22,000 humanoid robots shipped globally, up close to 300% year over year. Smart Analytics Global counted 19,100 units in the same period.
China's Humanoid Robot Scene Application Alliance claims Chinese vendors alone shipped over 30,000 units, surpassing Western estimates for the entire planet. The Alliance suggests that almost all humanoid robot shipments are currently in China.
The top two vendors, Agibot and Unitree, dominate global shipments, controlling about three-quarters of the market.
