GigaDevice Semiconductor Inc. reported a sharp rise in 2025 earnings, fueled by an AI-driven recovery that tightened global chip supplies. Net profit climbed 49.5% to 1.648 billion yuan ($228 million), while revenue rose 25.1% to 9.203 billion yuan.
The company's performance accelerated throughout the year, with more than 60% of its annual profit generated in the second half. This momentum led GigaDevice to announce a cash dividend of 525 million yuan, returning approximately 32% of its net income to shareholders.
The growth was primarily driven by GigaDevice’s core storage business. As major international manufacturers shifted production toward high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for AI servers, a lucrative supply gap emerged in the "niche" DRAM and SLC NAND Flash markets. GigaDevice effectively captured this demand, seeing significant price increases for its specialized memory products.
While memory remained the dominant engine, GigaDevice maintained its lead in the domestic microcontroller (MCU) market, focusing on automotive and industrial sectors. The company also expanded its global footprint, establishing a new international headquarters in Singapore to support its "fabless" design-and-sales model.
The results come as the global semiconductor market reached a record $772 billion in 2025. With China's domestic chip design sector growing nearly 30%, GigaDevice remains a central figure in the high-stakes push for hardware self-reliance.
