Erik Duran was tried for doing his job as a police officer in trying to arrest a criminal wanting to evade justice. Frankly, he could have easily used his gun to prevent the escape of a person who had just committed a felony. If all he wanted to do was arrest this guy by knocking him off his moving moped, it’s not a criminal act. The reason the guy hit his head and died was not the fault...
