Trump selects Katie Zacharia to replace Karoline Leavitt as New White House Press Secretary

Donald Trump has reportedly selected Katie Zacharia as the new White House press secretary, replacing Karoline Leavitt. However, it remains unclear whether she has accepted the US president’s offer.

It is recalled that Karoline Leavitt left the position last August to focus on her family, having given birth to her second child a few months earlier.

According to The New York Times, 41-year-old Katie Zacharia is a conservative commentator who worked briefly at the Department of Homeland Security.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she works as a communications adviser at Trump Media & Technology Group, which operates Truth Social. She previously served briefly as press secretary to then-Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and frequently appears in conservative media.

Who Is Katie Zacharia?

Katie is a dynamic professional in the legal and business sectors, specialising in corporate law, political advocacy, higher education and nonprofit organisations, both in the United States and internationally.

She currently serves as director of development at the organisation Fix California and is actively involved with the Dean’s Council at the Caruso School of Law, the Conejo Guardian newspaper, and the advisory boards of College Republicans of America and White Rose Resistance.

In the past, Katie spent three significant years in Beijing, China, where she worked as outside legal counsel to the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) at the law firm Zhong Lun. At the same time, she led fundraising efforts for a global nonprofit organisation focused on the education of migrant children.

She graduated from Seaver College in 2007 and the Caruso School of Law in 2011. She served as president of the Christian Legal Society and the College Republicans, and worked as a research assistant to Jim Gash and Roger Alford. Katie also served as an assistant to former president Andrew Benton. During her legal studies, she gained valuable legal experience while working as a law clerk to a federal judge at the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Katie worked in the White House Office of Political Affairs and participated in various election campaigns throughout her career.

She is also passionate about her interests in family, fitness, politics and adventures in Southern California, which she enjoys alongside her husband and their four beloved children.
