Ericsson's roadshow for its integrated TV solutions has been officially started in Shanghai and this activity will cover 12 cities in China, showcasing the company's latest technologies and solutions for integrated TV.

According to the plan, the series of roadshows will be held in 12 Chinese cities from March to May 2011, covering Shanghai, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Beijing, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chongqing, Xi'an, Jinan, Changchun, and Harbin. These cities include the most of the first batch pilot cities in the convergence of the telecom, broadcasting, and the Internet networks.

Ericsson will reportedly display contents in three aspects during the roadshows: first, the analysis of the development trend of integrated TV in China and the world; second, the interactive multimedia system solutions; and third, the live show of integrated TV. The live show session will introduce the interactive TV business, the multimedia communication business and the broadband business.

In addition, Ericsson will showcase its GPON and IP solutions, as well as business consulting and trainings targeting TV operators.

At present, Ericsson has set up a complete implementation team across China, in addition to its research centers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, focusing on the TV sector.

Mats H. Olsson, president for Ericsson China and Northeast Asia, told local media that Ericsson has invested large capital in the establishment of a local TV team in China. The roadshows will provide a series of solutions for the Chinese TV operators who are engaged in the convergence of the three networks.
