Beijing police said on Tuesday they solved 3,114 cases involving online crimes in a citywide campaign, with the detention of 6,034 suspects. Under the campaign, called "2021 Clean Internet", police officers strengthened the fight against online crimes, including those on infringing personal information, hacking computer systems and spreading pornographic information, according to the Beijing Public Security Bureau. People who aided and abetted the offenses, such as offering technological services and sharing payment tools, also needed to be punished, the bureau added.
