Former Wal-Mart Executive Joins Alibaba

Cui Renfu, former president of Wal-Mart International Group Global Procurement Office, has joined Alibaba to work as director for Alibaba's B2B company and Taobao.com.

Jack Ma, chairman and chief executive officer of Alibaba Group, has told local media that Cui has a deep understanding of the retail industry as well as global suppliers and buyers, and his rich experience in corporate operations will help Alibaba better serve its business clients both at home and abroad and play a major part in the company's ever increasing global trade.

Local analysts quoted in reports say that Cui's joining of Taobao.com enhance its retail sector strength.
