The competition between Dell and Lenovo in China has become increasingly intense following the "EmailGate" scandal.
This past week, their price war has reached a new low. Following IBM's slashing of the price of its high-end laptops by up to CNY5000, Dell slashed its top-grade laptop products from CNY20,799 to CNY14,399, a dramatic drop of CNY6400.
Analysts quoted in the Chinese media believe that with the competition for more market share, pricing throughout the entire PC market will undergo a great adjustment soon. This can only mean good news for consumers.
