Baidu.com's 7,000 Employees Move To New Offices

According to reports in local media, Chinese search engine company Baidu.com has started to relocate its employees from the current Potevio Plaza in Zhongguancun to its new office building, Baidu Plaza, in Shangdi, Beijing.
Baidu.com reportedly started the relocation on November 5, 2009 and during the following week, its employees in Ideal International Plaza in Zhongguancun will also move to the new offices.
An insider from Baidu.com revealed that there are two reasons for the company to start the relocation at this moment: one is because the new Baidu Plaza is ready for use; and the other is to celebrate Baidu.com's CEO Robin Li's birthday, which in on November 17. A relocation ceremony will reportedly be held on the same day of Li's birthday.
Prior to this, Baidu.com rented seven floors in Potevio Plaza and Ideal International Plaza for its over 7,000 employees.
