CEO To Depart From TCL Multimedia

TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings, a subsidiary of the Chinese electronics manufacturer TCL Group, has announced that Leong Yue-Wing, CEO of TCL Multimedia, will depart from his position on September 30, 2009, due to the expiration of his two-year contract.

However, the report published by the company said Leong will continue to be TCL Multimedia's senior consultant to assist the new CEO and the tenure for this new post will run from October 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010.

Meanwhile, Yu Guanghui, current executive director and president of TCL Multimedia, is appointed new CEO, effective from October 1, 2009.

Yu graduated from Shaanxi Normal University with a master's degree in optical physics. He also holds an MBA degree from Peking University and an EMBA degree from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
