Ministry Of Culture Publishes List Of Acceptable Games For Youth

China's Ministry of Culture has published a list of 15 online games it believes are suitable for Chinese younsters.

The Guangming Daily says the Ministry of Culture has been openly reviewing computer games for teenagers since July 6. It set six standards for the qualified games:

a) promoting patriotism, collectivism, socialist spirit, Chinese national ethics and social morals;

b) expanding Chinese culture;

c) utilizing highly creative techniques;

d) conforming with public and social morals;

e) avoiding Internet addiction tendencies;

f) having no less than 10000 registered users.

Of the 80 types of games initially recommended, the examiners chose 11 domestic games including "Meng Huan Guodu" and "Sanguo Haoxia Zhuan", and 4 foreign games including BNB.
