Albuquerque-based Khoral Inc. has established a new distributorship agreement with Hwa Create Co. Ltd. that will enable sales of its imaging software in China, CEO John Salas said recently.
"We have student versions available for download at no cost in the region, but they haven't produced sales," he said. "This will help us have a selling presence in China."
Founded by several professors and students from the University of New Mexico, Khoral spun out of the university in 1993. The company develops and sells its Khoros Pro imaging software to scientists and researchers for prototype development and problem solving. It has been used for everything from biomedical research to the development of systems for automatic target recognition, Salas said. Users include Sandia National Laboratories, Panasonic and Sony.
