Tanner EDA Offers Chinese-Language Menu Support

February 18, 2004
Software

Tanner EDA has opened a wholly-owned subsidiary in Hsinchu, Taiwan, to accommodate increasing customer demand in Asia for cost-effective, Windows-based EDA tools.

This is Tanner's second office in the region, following the establishment of Tanner Research Japan in April 2003. Tanner Research Taiwan will be responsible for sales efforts in Taiwan in addition to being a key support center for the entire Greater China region. It will offer customers a wide range of services including technical support and training, as well as multi-language support and native Chinese-language menus for HiPer Verify and L-Edit Pro layout and verification tools.

Customers in Taiwan represent a cross-section of the entire Taiwan EDA software market. These include large foundries such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, United Microelectronics Corp, as well as IC and MEMS design houses.
