Global IT PR Company Names China Head

The Hoffman Agency, the global high-tech PR and marketing communications consultancy, announces the appointment of Alan R. Kahn as general manager of The Hoffman Agency China.

He will be responsible for all aspects of Hoffman's China operations, including expanding business opportunities, developing business strategies and overseeing client services for the company's Beijing and Shanghai offices.

Hoffman China's former general manager, Lynn M. Furrow, has been appointed director of client services, Greater China. Based in Hong Kong, she will be responsible for overseeing client servicing on key accounts and driving new business development and marketing in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Alan brings with him a broad background in media relations and in developing communications programs for multinational corporations. Previously with Burson-Marsteller, Alan was concurrently Asia-Pacific manager of the firm's Insights and Ideas Group, senior communications trainer for China and public affairs manager for China. He also spent several years as a business manager and researcher at the U.S.-China Business Council based in Washington, D.C.
