Chinese domestic internet service providers are to expand their email services following Yahoo and Google's expansion.
The country's largest portal, Sina, has launched free email services featuring inboxes with 100 megabytes of space, and providing verbal and face-to-face tools as well as selective interfaces. Netease, meanwhile, is also providing up to 260 megabytes of room in its inboxes.
Other portals like Sohu, 21cn, and Tom.com are keeping a close eye on developments, but have not taken any action so far.
