Telecom & Wireless

Linktone Ltd., a provider of wireless value-added services in China, today announced that it has obtained the rights from China National Radio Channel I, the leading news channel in China, to provide the network's audio news coverage of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games to Chinese mobile users through Linktone's interactive voice response (IVR) platform.

Linktone's other 2004 Olympics offerings cross multiple platforms such as SMS, MMS and WAP, and include news and score updates, picture downloads, sports-related games, sports star profiles and community chat services. Under its agreement with China National Radio, Linktone will customize and aggregate the audio news coverage of the Olympics from China National Radio Channel I and distribute it through a dedicated channel on Linktone's IVR platform. Mobile users can call Linktone's special IVR service number, and select and listen to coverage of games of interest.
