Industry analysts are saying that China's telecommunication value-added service field has entered a standardizing period, refering in main to the government's supervision and management of content providers via China Mobile and the soon-to-be-adopted MISC system.

The MISC system is a new management network unit added to the original gateway of Monternet that helps transfer large amounts of management rights from content providers to China Mobile, so that any behavior that infringes on the rules, or allows communication of false information, can be effectively filtered.

In Fujian province, where the system has been in use since February, users' complaints about the province has dramatically dropped, yet the content providers' business has not been affected as much as could have been expected.
