It is being reported that the charging system used by 95700 failed recently after undergoing an upgrade.
As a result, a Beijing citizen Mr. Yao had to pay a bill for use of the Internet service which was more than ten times that of previous months. After calling Jinhan Network Service Company, the owner of 95700, and reporting the error, Yao was promised a refund.
At the same time, given that Yao's case is unlikely to be an isolated one, the company is asking other users in the same situation to confirm their Internet bill before the company returns any over-charged fees.
