Electronic Arts Opens New China Studio

Electronic Arts (ЕА) is settling the details for its new development studio with the Chinese authorities.

The new studio will aim at taking advantage of the massive demand in Asia for online gaming after experts have indicated that China will be the new centre of gravity of online gaming, surpassing South Korea.

Encouraging more online gaming is thought to give firms like EA a way around the software piracy prevalent in China. Accessing games via mobile phones is also a growing business area for games companies.
