AsiaInfo Signs e-HR Contract With Maanshan

AsiaInfo Holdings (NASDAQ: ASIA), a provider of software, solutions and services to telecom operators and enterprises in China, today announced that it has signed an electronic human resource management system (e-HR) contract with Maanshan Iron and Steel Company (Magang), one of China's larger iron and steel producers.

Founded in 1958, Magang is principally involved in the manufacture and sale of iron and steel products. With over 70,000 employees, Magang is the largest industrial enterprise in China's Anhui province and one of China's largest iron and steel producers with a total annual production capacity of over 10 million tons.

AsiaInfo's e-HR software solution is a human resource information management system designed to support the human resource and organization management of corporations of all sizes. Magang will implement 16 modules of AsiaInfo's e-HR solution capable of supporting the entire HR process including recruitment, compensation, benefit administration, performance appraisal, training, and competence management for the company's 70,000 employees. The system will also include an HR intranet to facilitate online human resources information management, allowing for increased communication between the company's employees and management.
