Linktone Wins Web Site Award

Linktone (NASDAQ: LTON), a provider of wireless value-added services (WVAS) to mobile phone users in China, today announced that its Web site has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Chinese Websites of 2004" and has received "China's Fastest Growing Web Site of 2004" award, both sponsored by China Internet Weekly (CIW), an online and offline publication dedicated to the Internet industry in China.

During the eight-week selection period, CIW compiled the final list of winners based on numerous inputs from its editors, industry experts and 1.3 million votes from average Internet users. Key evaluation criteria include third-party rankings of web traffic and the commercial value of Web sites.

According to Google, the page rating of http://www.linktone.com reached five in September 2004 from zero a year ago, on a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being the highest rating. In addition, the ranking of Linktone's Web site at Alexa increased from 100,000th in September 2003 to 1,872nd in September 2004. Linktone's internal statistics indicate that the page views increased from 6,000 per day at the beginning of 2004 to 4 million per day in September 2004.
