HBOAsia, China DTV Production Company and Shanghai Oriental Cable Network Company have reached an agreement to allow HBO into Shanghai's digital television market, starting January 1, 2005.

According to the agreement, three of HBO's programs will be shown on the 'Hot Cinema' time-slot of the First Theatre Channel each day. But the monthly total number of films will not exceed 50.

With the increase of the programs, fees charged for digital TV will also be subdivided; for existing users, the price will not be changed.
