MII To Announce MP3 And MP4 Standard

Ministry of Information Industry official Chen Qingfang has disclosed that MII will soon release an inspection standard for MP3 and MP4 players.

According to Chen, the MP3 and MP4 players draft standard has already been completed and will be submitted for approval after a general review.

The new standard will include an MP3 and MP4 audio frequency performance index; storage speed rate and capacity thresholds; security and electromagnetism concurrency rates; electrical adaptability standards; packaging standards; and maintenance requirements.

Currently, there are over 1000 MP3 and MP4 player manufacturers in China.
