AsiaInfo (ASIA) has signed contracts with Shanghai Mobile and Gansu Mobile, both provincial subsidiaries of China Mobile, to upgrade the carriers' business
operation support systems to its latest OpenBOSS version 1.5.

Gansu Mobile's upgraded OpenBOSS system will offer 24-hour online support to its over 2.4 million subscribers and will facilitate online bill inquiry, payment and real-time remote services. The system will feature advanced customer authentication capabilities to ensure security.
Initially constructed by AsiaInfo in 2001, Shanghai Mobile's new OpenBOSS system will significantly enhance services for its enterprise customers through improved channel management, marketing, sales, and mobile data business platforms while ensuring system security.
Officially launched in July 2004, OpenBOSS Version 1.5 is designed to seamlessly handle a wide range of enterprise-vital functions for Chinese telecom providers including data collection, billing, accounting, settlement, comprehensive reporting, customer service, customer relationship management (CRM), integrated channel management, and decision support.
