P-Com (PCMC.OB), a worldwide provider of broadband wireless access products and services to carriers, commercial enterprises and government agencies, announced that its SpeedLan family of products has been approved for sale in China by relevant Chinese government bodies.

This approval was granted in accordance with the provisions of the Radio Regulations of the People's Republic of China, and covers SpeedLan products in the frequency range from 5725 MHz to 5850 MHz.

P-Com President and CEO, Sam Smookler, said, "Following our participation in the recent PT/EXPO COMM and the China Security tradeshows in Beijing, we have seen significant interest in our SpeedLan products. Our technology is capable of supporting many new security and surveillance applications for government, municipalities and airports, infrastructure for Internet service, voice-over-IP and wireless local area network providers, which are areas in great demand."
