Li Tongwen, a former deputy director of Yongqing County Court in Hebei Province, has been found guilty of using the Internet to arrange an illegal firearms business.
Li took advantage of his judicial position to launch a business called "Firearms, Military Factory" with fifteen accomplices. According to the Beijing Municipal Procuratorate, Li's illegal behavior was discovered by a retired Sichuanese soldier who reported the news to the public security bureau in Beijing when he saw Li posting a gun ad on the Internet.
By the time they were identified, Li and his partners had sold 30 pistols and 1000 bullets.
Li's sentence has not been delivered yet.
