eLong.com Appoints New Board Member

Chinese online travel company eLong.com (LONG) has announced the appointment of Henrik Kjellberg, vice president and managing director, Expedia.com, to its board of directors.

Kjellberg will replace outgoing board member Diarmuid Russell, of Expedia, Inc., who served as director since October 2004. Kjellberg's appointment is effective immediately.

Kjellberg is vice president and managing director, supply Europe for Expedia, in which role he oversees all hotel, car and destination services for the region.

"We welcome Mr. Kjellberg to eLong's board and would like to thank Mr. Russell for his valuable contribution to our company in the past year. Mr. Kjellberg's depth of knowledge of international online travel markets makes him a valuable addition to our board. He will join a talented and well- rounded group of advisors whose expertise spans travel, e-commerce, finance, operations and corporate governance," said Justin Tang, Chairman and CEO of eLong.
