Motorola, Nokia and China Mobile have initiated a eco-friendly campaign called "Green Box Environmental Protection Plan – Callback of Waste Handsets and Accessories", and they will carry out the plan in more than 40 major cities across China.

The three parties say they hope more communications enterprises will join them.

As part of the campaign, a special "Green Box" will be positioned on a long term basis in about 1000 China Mobile retail outlets and 150 sales centers and repair centers of Motorola and Nokia to collect unwanted handsets and accessories.

During the first three month of the activity, the three parties will offer at each of their sites some complimentary gifts to users as a means of encouragement.
