Linktone CEO Quits Prior To Expected Company Downturn

On the last working day prior to the Chinese mobile company's expected announcement of further revenue losses, Linktone's (LTON) CEO Raymond Yang resigned, ending a tumultuous tenure.

On February 6, Linktone announced that it most likely would not hit its expectations for the last quarter in 2005.

Effective last Friday, the company's Board of Directors had accepted Raymond Yang's resignation as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the company. Colin Sung, the company's Chief Financial Officer, will assume the position of acting Chief Executive Officer until a permanent successor is named.

Him Tiem Foo, currently the company's Vice President of Finance, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer.

Linktone will discuss the management transition further during its upcoming earnings call scheduled for later this eveving. Presenting on behalf of the company will be Acting CEO Colin Sung, Deputy CFO Him Tiem Foo and directors Michael Li and Derek Sulger.
