China Unicom Will Change Logo And Slogan For 3G

March 9, 2006
Telecom & Wireless

Guangdong Unicom, a subsidiary of China Unicom (CHU), says that starting March 28, each of China Unicom's branches around the country will change their logo to emphasize new 3G services.

China Unicom has not disclosed the detailed schedule or the amount of money involved in releasing the new logo.

The new logo will continue to bear China Unicom's English letters and Chinese characters as well as the image of a "Chinese Knot". However, the color will be changed from blue to red and pink, which the company says is more eye-catching.

Apart from changing the logo, China Unicom has also altered its enterprise slogan from "Leading Communication's Future" to "Have All Freely Connected".
