Shanghai Mobile, a subsidiary of China Mobile, has altered its client service number from 1860 to 10086 but has not disclosed the reason for the change.

1860 and 1861 will still be used and it is unclear when they will become inactive.

China Mobile has already launched 10085 as a new service consulting line and 10088 as VIP client and corporate client service hot line. So far, Shanghai Mobile has initiated 10085 and 10086, but it has not opened 10088.
