Yahoo (YHOO) China has resumed using its 3721.com domain name, which has been frozen for nearly a year.

Yahoo China plans to use the core domain name resources of 3721 for its newly launched Chinese Internet service. Users will be able to compile on the website their own page layout in which they can create their own web address directory according to their needs.

In an attempt to eliminate the influence of Zhou Hongwei, former CEO of Yahoo China who created the 3721 brand, Jack Ma, president and CEO of Alibaba halted various 3721 brands after he acquired Yahoo China in August last year.

Analysts quoted in local media say that the removal of 3721 no doubt caused a loss for Alibaba, so relaunching of this domain name shows that Jack Ma is more practical in his business strategy.
